Tips on Buying Baby Equipment
Posted on Wednesday Mar 10, 2010 Under BrilliantMonths before I gave birth, my husband and I started canvassing for baby equipment. The moment we hit the baby section at the mall, we were confronted with a myriad of baby stuff that we immediately got confused even if we already set a budget and had a list of the things that we would buy. Parents, mothers most especially, usually have a big urge to buy a large quantity of baby clothes and equipment for their child. Knowing what to buy and the quantity of each item is important because it is very impractical to buy a huge amount of stuff, only to find it unused or outgrown by your baby. It is a known fact that babies grow up so fast!
To avoid panic and last minute purchases, the necessary baby items should already be prepared at least three months before the expected due date of the birth of the baby. Diapers, infant blankets, baby clothes, feeding bottles, sterile cotton, baby wipes, mittens, and booties should be prepared in the right quantities. An infant bath seat or a bath tub with a safety net is also important. As the baby grows, you need to buy new equipment such as pacifiers, feeding sets, teethers, and other stuff for babies approaching a year old. Check the items if they are safe to use and does not contain harmful chemicals or small parts that could choke babies.
While it may seem stressful, buying stuff for your baby is actually a very exciting and enjoyable experience that you will definitely miss when your kids have already grown.
